Our Mission
Our mission is to advance human development and that means inclusive prosperity and governance, ensuring that progress benefits everyone, regressions are addressed and no one is left behind. At a regional level, UNDP helps countries address complex, transboundary development challenges through integrated solutions delivered at scale. The regional level also al lows for testing ideas and innovations ahead of country application.
Strategic Objective
Guided by UNDP's Strategic Plan 2026-2029, advisory and implementation work focuses on eradicating poverty and accelerating high human development while protecting the planet. It aims to foster system-level changes through four key objectives: prosperity for all, effective governance, crisis resilience, and a healthy planet, powered by digitalization, gender equality, and sustainable finance.
UNDP Support
We work hand in hand with governments, civil society, the private sector and communities to strengthen resilience through crisis preparedness, recovery and rebuilding efforts; transform governance systems with forward looking policy, legislative and regulatory advice; and create opportunities by expanding entrepreneurship and livelihoods initiatives that generate jobs for young people and others most vulnerable.
