تواجه المرأة صعوبات عديدة في كافة مراحل حياتها وبمجاالت متعددة. مما يحتم عليها المثابرة على المواجهة لتحقق ذاتها وتأخذ حقوقها في مجتمع يمارس عليها شتى أنواع الضغوطات. أما إشكالية عملي الفني الذي يحمل عنوان "المواجهة" فتدور حول قساوة تلك المواجهة وما تسببه من أذى وتمزق وألم للمرأة. وقد تكونت خلفية اللوحة من الخشب الصلب القاتم اللون إلى حد السواد، كصالبة المجتمع وظلمه في وقوفه بوجه إعطاء المرأة حقوقها. أما األشرطة المعدنية فترمز للعقبات التي تواجه المرأة وتتداخل مع قماش ال tulle الناعم والرقيق كنعومتها. لكن هذا التداخل ينتج عنه تمزقات كبيرة خاصةً عندما يحاول الشريط المعدني شد القماش لتثبيته على الخلفية الصلبة. كل ذلك يشبه ما تعانيه المرأة في محاوالتها لالندماج بالمجتمع والحصول على المساوات وإثبات قدراتها وأخذ حقوقها.

Translation

Women face many difficulties at all stages in their lives and in various fields. This makes it necessary for her to continue confronting to achieve herself and acquire her rights in a society that exerts all kinds of pressure on her. As for my artwork entitled “The Confrontation,” it revolves around the severity of that confrontation and the harm, tearing and pain it causes for women. The background of the painting was made of hard wood, which is dark in color to the point of blackness, as the society's hardness and injustice in its standing in the way of giving women their rights. The metallic bands symbolize the obstacles facing women and interfere with the soft and delicate tulle fabric which is similar to women’s softness. This overlapping results in tears especially when the metallic tape tries to stretch the fabric to hold it against the solid background. All of this is similar to what women suffer in their attempts to integrate into society, obtain equality, prove their capabilities and take their rights
