Locations"Bless These Hands": A Campaign to Support Agricultural and Handicraft Cooperatives

Beirut, 15 December 2025 – As part of the national campaign launched by UNDP to support cooperatives in Lebanon under the slogan “ Bless these Hands ,” and in partnership with the General Directorate of Cooperatives and the support of the German Government through KfW Development Bank, 20 agricultural and artisanal cooperatives from across the country took part in the 13th edition of the Christmas Fair at Forum de Beirut.
The booth was inaugurated in the presence Ms. Gloria Abou Zeid, Director General of Cooperatives representing the Ministry of Agriculture H.E. Nizar Hani; Dr. Solveig Buhl, KfW Development Bank Director, Beirut Office; and Ms. Blerta Aliko, UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, alongside representatives of government institutions and national and international partners.
The cooperatives’ participation will continue until 14 December, showcasing a wide range of products, including agricultural goods, processed foods, and traditional handicrafts.
The “ Bless These Hands ” campaign aims to highlight the vital role of cooperatives in Lebanon and their positive social and economic impact by supporting local production, empowering women, strengthening rural development, and expanding access to markets—contributing to inclusive growth and more resilient communities.
