Following the conduct of the 2025 Municipal and Mukhtar Elections, UNDP developed the “2025 Lebanese Municipal and Mukhtar Elections: Key Results” publication. It provides a comprehensive statistical overview of the electoral process and outcomes, with data disaggregated by gender, age, and election days. It presents key figures on registered voters, voter turnout, municipal council and mukhtar candidates and elected members, uncontested municipalities, and the overall distribution of seats across Lebanon.  

The publication also offers an in-depth analysis from a gender perspective, examining women’s participation as candidates and elected officials, including women elected by acclamation and the impact of Law 61/2017 on married women running and being elected in their hometowns.
