Strengthening Information Integrity in Kosovo through Youth Empowerment

Project Summary

Misinformation and disinformation represent a major threat to democracy, transparency, and security. It affects societies at different levels, hindering progress in inter-ethnic dialogue and in combating hate speech, discrimination, violence, and gender inequalities.

The impact of mis/disinformation in Kosovo is amplified by limited media literacy and access to verified information, particularly among youth and marginalized groups. Consequently, countering disinformation requires a concerted effort to promote media literacy and information integrity, providing individuals with the tools to recognize and address false information.

The project will contribute to social cohesion, governance and information integrity by increasing the resilience of young women and men to recognize mis/disinformation, gendered mis/disinformation, bringing them as allies and agents of change in strengthening the information integrity ecosystem in Kosovo.

What we want to achieve

1.Empower Kosovo young women and men become resilient to misinformation and disinformation, with particular focus on gendered disinformation.
