Embarking on our journey in Janjevë/Janjevo, we first met the dynamic sisters-in-law, Maliqe and Ganimete Konxheli, who have cohabited for many years. Each morning starts with the pair preparing breakfast, followed by mouth-watering options for lunch and dinner. Their expertise shines in crafting traditional favourites like pie, "fli"- a well-known dish in Kosovo cuisine, "bakllavë" a sweet dessert which requires time and patience to prepare, and many more.
Their food creations gained praise from family members, friends, and beyond. For the past two years, they have been offering delicacies from their shared kitchen, marking the inception of their envisioned business.
As demand surged, they recognised the need for essential equipment to meet growing orders. “Our aspiration is to secure a larger space soon, equipped with the necessary tools, to better cater to the needs of our growing clientele," expresses Maliqe.
Deeply rooted in their family tradition, Ganimete and Maliqe are resolute in ensuring that every guest leaves having savoured their diverse delights. Their commitment to sharing the richness of their cuisine reflects the warm hospitality embedded in their heritage.
