Pahilo Mahina (The First Month) is a collection of the stories from young girls from all 7 provinces of Nepal regarding their experience of their first period (menstruation) they had. UNDP together with Nepalese Society for Children’s Literature (NESCHIL) invited 14 young girls and a transboy ( 12-18 years) in Kathmandu and conducted a creative writing workshop on 'The Existence of the Red World' to enhance their knowledge on menstrual hygiene and equip them with creative skills to express themselves.
