Peace & Development Programme
Summary
Hosted by UNDP Georgia, the Peace & Development Programme supports the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Georgia in integrating conflict sensitivity, crisis preparedness, and peacebuilding across its programmes and operations. Through political analysis, strategic advice, and technical expertise, it strengthens the UN's capacity to anticipate and respond to emerging risks and advance conflict-sensitive, peace-responsive programming.
Key Activities
- Providing Informed Political Analysis: Providing political and conflict analysis to inform the Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team's strategic positioning, decision-making, and programming.
- Supporting the implementation and operationalisation of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF): Providing strategic analysis, fostering joint programming, and integrating conflict sensitivity and peacebuilding across UN interventions.
- Fostering Partnerships for Peace and Development: Strengthening collaboration among national and local stakeholders, supporting dialogue and confidence-building initiatives, engaging civil society, and mobilising international partnerships to advance innovative peacebuilding and development initiatives in Georgia.
