The resource book elaborates the roles and responsibilities of ward offices of local levels with easy-to-understand methodology to make the services of the ward offices effective and inclusive. The book is designed to be used elected ward officials and staff as well as the community people to learn about the five types of services the ward offices provide - a) planning, implementation and monitoring b) recordkeeping and data update c) development programmes d) regulation e) recommendation and certification. The European Union Support to Inclusive Federalism (EUSIF), a UNDP project in Karnali Province which complements the Government of Nepal’s national flagship programme, Provincial and Local Governance Support Programme (PLGSP), designed the resource book for the Karnali Province Training Academy (KPTA) for wider dissemination apart from using it in its training programmes.
