List of selected project proposals according to the Public Call for submission of applications for enhancement of tourist accommodation capacities and services along the Via Dinarica trails and sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the project ‘’Sustainable Tourism for Green Growth Along the Via Dinarica Trails in Bosnia and Herzegovina’’ (Via Dinarica III)
The Via Dinarica project published the Public call for enhancement of tourist accommodation capacities and services along the Via Dinarica trails and sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 5, 2024.
This public call is co-financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation AICS and the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism and aims to further contribute to the development of the Via Dinarica initiative.
Upon closing of the Public Call on January 13, 2025, a total of 32 project proposals were received, of which two (2) project proposals for Priority Area 1: Enhancement of the capacity of tourist accommodation facilities along the Via Dinarica trails and sites and thirty (30) project proposals for Priority Area 2: Enhancement of a diverse and sustainable tourism offer along the Via Dinarica trails and sites. After the deadline for submitting applications, a commission evaluation of all applications was carried out according to the basic (eliminatory) and additional criteria of the Public Call. Based on the evaluation of the received applications and verification meetings with potential beneficiaries, who were shortlisted, a final list of project proposals selected for co-financing was drawn up. This list was approved by the Project Board of the Via Dinarica III project as the final step in the approval process.

Since the published Public Call planned to co-finance at least 25 top-ranked project proposals, and 8 project proposals were included in the final list of project proposals selected for co-financing, UNDP will in the following period, with the prior approval of the Project Board, re-publish the Public Call within the available funds.
The Via Dinarica project is implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH), with the financial support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) / Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). Also, the project is being implemented in cooperation with local partners - the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, local authorities, non-governmental and private sectors active in tourism.
