The Programme “Advancing Agenda 2030 through Governance and Sustainable Growth – SDG2030BiH” is a joint initiative of the United Nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, funded by the Government of Sweden and implemented by UNDP, ILO, IOM and UNICEF under the coordination of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Programme aims to accelerate Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by strengthening governance systems, enhancing local development processes and supporting local governments (LGs) in localizing the 2030 Agenda.

Through this Public Call, up to 25 partner local governments across Bosnia and Herzegovina will be selected to receive expert and technical support through one of three support packages (LOTs):

• LOT 1 – Mentor LGs – SDG Pioneers (up to 5 LGs)

• LOT 2 – LGs with Strong Development Potential (up to 15 LGs)

• LOT 3 – Support to Underdeveloped LGs (up to 5 LGs)

The support may cover areas such as SDG localization through strategic planning systems, preparation of Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs), programme-based budgeting, grant management, public asset management, management of large-scale development projects, urban transformation initiatives and strengthening social services.

All local governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina are eligible to apply in accordance with the requirements set out in the Public Call. Applications for LOT 3 are limited to local governments classified as underdeveloped according to the applicable official criteria.

Application Submission and Deadlines

The application package, including the Application Form (Annex I), Letter of Intent (Annex II), Technical Criteria Scoring Matrix (Annex III) and Description of Support (Annex IV), is available on the UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina website under the Procurement section ( Procurement Notices) 

Interested local governments are required to submit:

• Completed Application Form (PDF and Word format);

• Signed Letter of Intent.

Applications must be submitted electronically to: registry.ba@undp.org with the subject line: “Application for the SDG2030BiH Programme – [Name of LG]”

The deadline for submission of applications is 20. 07. 2026. at 12:00 noon.

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

An info day, during which all interested applicants will be able to receive additional information and clarifications regarding the terms of the public call, will be organized via Zoom on 8 July 2026 at 12:00.
