These donors are contributing to lessen the severe impacts of war on Yemeni people throughout the country. World Bank The World Bank and UNDP have partnered to launch the unique Yemen Emergency Crisis Response Project (YERCP) – a project that effectively responds to the famine related needs of the Yemenis, especially the poorest and most vulnerable. This was the first time the World Bank was able to unlock such substantial financing from its International Development Association to work through UN agencies and to keep critical development projects flowing during a crisis. Learn more European Union The European Union (EU) and UNDP joined efforts to support the people of Yemen under the Social Protection for Community Resilience Project (SPCRP) and the Enhanced Rural Resilience Joint Programme in Yemen. Learn more Japan Government of Japan has been contributing in two projects: Waste Management, Water Supply and Sewage Sanitation in Aden and Mukalla Cities (WASH), Building Resilient Livelihoods and Improving Protection Services for Conflict Affected Communities in Aden and Lahj, and Rebuilding Livelihoods and Capacities of Conflict-Affected Small-Scale Fisheries Households in Aden and Hadramout (RELACC).
