Brochure: Evacuation of the Population during Natural Disasters

January 12, 2026

This brochure explains how to prepare for a possible evacuation, what actions to take before, during, and after a disaster, and how to ensure safety and basic living conditions for evacuees.

The material presents the main types and stages of evacuation, key factors for its effective organization, a list of essential emergency supplies for each family, and requirements for temporary accommodation facilities. Special attention is given to the protection of vulnerable population groups, including women with children, older persons, and persons with disabilities.

The brochure was developed within the framework of the joint UNDP, Ministry of Emergency Situations, and Uzhydromet project “Enhancing Multi-Hazard Early Warning System to Increase the Resilience of Communities in Uzbekistan to Climate Change–Induced Hazards,” with support from the Green Climate Fund.
