Familiarization with the Italian agricultural development program;
Presentation of the reforms carried out in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan;
Familiarization with the activities of the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA) in the development of Italian agriculture;
Studying the activities of Focus Groups organized under the leadership of CREA within the framework of the concept of European Agricultural Innovation Cooperation (EIP-AGRI);
Review of innovative approaches to the rational use of natural resources in agriculture and adaptation to climate change.
For this purpose, the delegation, consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, research institutes working in the field of agriculture, the AKIS agricultural services center, the Association of Women in the Agricultural Sector, and the UN Development Program, is participating in a study tour to Italy from May 22 to 28, 2023. This Study Tour was organized within the framework of the #EU-AGRIN project funded by the European Union.
During the study tour, meetings were organized at the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, CREA Headquarters (Council for Agricultural Research and Economics), the Regional Office for Agricultural Innovation, a large dairy factory, the Research Centre on Viticulture and Oenology, Quality, knowledge, and agricultural innovation office where the participants got a presentation of activities and results on the successfully implemented Operational Groups in the livestock farm, innovative greenhouse and fruit fields.
The study of Italy's best practices in the development of agriculture will help to improve the efficiency and establishment of the Innovation Groups in Uzbekistan.
