Strengthening Frontline Support for Survivors

Batch 4 of the capacity building training for case workers
Malé, Maldives — The Ministry, in collaboration with UNDP Maldives, has concluded Batch 4 of its capacity-building training for case workers, held from 27–29 September 2026.
The three-day training focused on strengthening the practical skills of case workers to implement the Procedure Manual on Responding to Cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Domestic Violence (DV), developed in partnership with the Family Protection Authority (FPA) and UNFPA Maldives.
The training aims to support case workers in providing safe, confidential, ethical and survivor-centred services, while strengthening their ability to respond to risks related to domestic violence, intimate partner violence, child protection concerns and survivor well-being.
By strengthening frontline capacity and promoting consistent approaches to case management, the programme contributes to safer and more responsive support for survivors of violence across the Maldives.
The initiative is supported through the UNDP Funding Windows, with contributions that support efforts to advance gender equality and strengthen access to essential services.
