Partnerships

Within the framework of the UNDP Country Programme Document 2022-2026, UNDP Maldives works in partnership with the Government of Maldives and associated ministries to prepare a number of programmes and projects that support development interventions. UNDP takes the lead in programmatic areas where it has a mandate and expertise, participating actively in the development and implementation of joint programmes, and other inter-agency initiatives. UNDP continues to play a crucial role in the provision of operational support to the UN System in Maldives and the realisation and harmonisation of operational policies and practices among the various UN agencies.

In addition to Government of Maldives, UNDP also maintains strong partnerships with:

  • Civil Society, Non-Governmental Organisations and Community-based Organisations
  • Bilateral and Multi-lateral Partners
  • Private Sector
  • The UN Country Team
