STAKEHOLDER RESPONSE MECHANISM (SRM)

UNDP’s Social and Environmental Standards (SES) demonstrate our commitment to integrating social and environmental sustainability into all our programmes and projects. The Redress and Response Mechanisms are key components of UNDP’s accountability framework, ensuring that individuals and communities impacted by UNDP projects have access to suitable channels for providing feedback, engaging in dialogue, and resolving grievances.

The Stakeholder Response Mechanism (SRM) for the Maldives Country Office (CO) is part of this framework. The SRM, mandatory for every UNDP office, facilitates the receipt and resolution of grievances, concerns, or complaints from stakeholders regarding the impact of UNDP projects. It complements project-level Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRMs), which are required for all projects classified as moderate risk or higher, as well as other existing feedback channels.

In addition, a dedicated email address, srm.mv@undp.org, is available for stakeholders to submit inquiries, concerns, or complaints. Ensuring that all stakeholders and beneficiaries have access to the necessary support is crucial, as is UNDP’s commitment to being transparent, accountable, and open to feedback. This helps ensure that our efforts to create positive change do not inadvertently cause harm.
