UNDP Maldives, in partnership with the Bar Council of the Maldives (BCM), successfully convened a co-creation workshop on the development of the Handbook on Environmental Legal Action. The workshop brought together lawyers, environmental advocates, and key stakeholders to collaboratively shape the structure and direction of the upcoming handbook.

The interactive session focused on identifying priority areas and co-designing an outline that will guide the development of the handbook over the coming months. Participants engaged in productive discussions on strengthening environmental legal action and improving access to environmental justice in the Maldives.

The group will continue to be actively engaged throughout the drafting process, ensuring that the handbook reflects diverse perspectives and practical legal approaches to environmental protection.

Through this initiative, UNDP Maldives continues to support strengthened legal frameworks and collaborative approaches to environmental governance in the country.
