This brochure was developed to disseminate and raise awareness of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Concluding Observations prepared by the Committee after reviewing Angola's 7th Periodic Report, seeking to facilitate its adoption by civil society organizations, women's groups, and institutional actors responsible for its implementation.

The guide presents the objectives of CEDAW, its three basic principles, general recommendations, briefly explains how the Committee works, and suggests ways to involve civil society in monitoring the Convention. Finally, it presents the Concluding Observations issued by the Committee to Angola in March 2019.
