The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) and UNDP Maldives have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance export development in the Maldives.

This partnership aims to support Maldivian businesses in overcoming export barriers through targeted market research, capacity building, and assistance with regulatory and certification requirements in key international markets. By facilitating smoother access to global markets, the collaboration seeks to boost the country’s export potential and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

The initiative aligns with Maldives’ broader economic diversification efforts and UNDP’s commitment to supporting inclusive and resilient development.
