During the period of 2022-2023, the project "Digital Aiymdar" was successfully implemented, covering the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions.
The main goal of this project is to enhance the economic opportunities and rights of women in these regions by improving their information, digital, leadership, and communication skills. Over the course of a year, 180 women aged 15 to 34, enrolled in the project, received training in information and digital courses of their choice.
As a result, in addition to IT and digital technology courses, 180 women from the three regions were able to enhance their qualifications by participating in specialized training on leadership and communication. Today, 50% of the 180 women who participated in the project are employed.
We share the stories of the participants of the "Digital Aiymdar" project.

"From a very young age, I was surrounded by technology and always had an interest in this field. I observed great female engineers, scientists, and programmers whose achievements inspired me. And I decided to pursue a career as a programmer, despite the common belief that women face difficulties in this field.
Despite having a programming degree, I encountered challenges in finding a job, and I felt some insecurity and fears about my difficulties in web development. I tried to find free educational resources, but they didn't meet my expectations. They offered basic knowledge, and I couldn't delve deep into the subject as I lacked practice. Without guidance from experienced teachers and the ability to ask questions, it was tough for me. But thanks to my participation in the 'Sanarip Aiymdar' project, I was able to overcome all the learning difficulties. The methodologies used in the project - a focus on practical skills - were radically different from how we were taught at the university. During our training, we created our own portfolio. I am very proud of my portfolio, which already includes three great websites where I tried to incorporate my creative vision and professional intuition to make the web resources informative and functional. After completing the 'Sanarip Aiymdar' project training, I found a job at the university. I have many plans for the future, and I have already started taking orders for website development and working remotely."
The #digitalaiymdar project is implemented by the NGO "Youth of Osh" within the framework of the UNDP project with the financial support of the Russian Federation
