National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has a unique role to play in the Universal Periodic Review Process. In March 2020, NHRC conducted a series of consultation meetings with relevant stakeholders including CSOs and developed the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Report (UPR) on the overall human rights situation in the country and submitted at the United Nations Human Rights Council jointly with the National Women Commission and the National Dalit Commission. The report covers the human rights situation and the implementation status of the recommendations provided through the second cycle.
