Internal fuel is one of the most promising techniques to reduce air pollution and improve the efficiency of the brick firing process. Although this technique is widely practice internationally, it is relatively new in Nepalese context. Evidence on relevancy, appropriateness, practicality and benefits of this technique in the context of Nepal’s fixed chimney zig-zag technology. This manual produced under UNDP's Climate Promise project provides practical guidance to brick kiln entrepreneurs and operators on adopting the internal fuel brick making practice. The authors welcome ideas and suggestions to enhance the quality of the manual for future revisions.
