Digital transformation is a key part of the Maldives’ national vision, aimed at improving public services, innovation, and sustainable development. While the country shows strong progress in basic digital infrastructure and services, it faces challenges in regulation, coordination, and citizen engagement. This assessment, based on the UNDP Digital Transformation Framework, highlights the current state across five key areas and sets the stage for a policy brief with clear recommendations for advancing digital progress.
