Malé, Maldives – October 2025: Commissioners from the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) met with officials from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Maldives to introduce the newly appointed Commissioners and reaffirm the long-standing partnership between the two institutions.

Discussions focused on ongoing collaborations and upcoming initiatives aimed at advancing human rights, accountability, and good governance across the Maldives. Both institutions reiterated their shared commitment to ensuring that governance systems remain inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the needs of all Maldivians.

UNDP and HRCM continue to work closely under joint programmes supporting the capacity strengthening of national human rights institutions, civic engagement, and community-level awareness—contributing to the realization of rights and justice for all.
