The Ministry, in collaboration with UNDP Maldives, has successfully concluded Batch 4 of its capacity-building training for case workers, held from 27–29 September 2026.

The training aimed to strengthen case workers’ practical skills in implementing the Procedure Manual on Responding to Cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Domestic Violence (DV), developed in partnership with FPA Maldives and UNFPA Maldives.

The programme focused on enhancing survivor-centred approaches and ensuring safe, confidential and ethical service delivery, while strengthening case workers’ capacity to address domestic and intimate partner violence, child protection concerns and survivor well-being.

The training was supported through the UNDP Funding Windows, with contributions from the Governments of Denmark, Luxembourg and the Republic of Korea.
