Adapting to climate-related uncertainties: Solar PV cold storage systems

Two cold storage systems with solar PV have been successfully installed and are now fully operational in Laamu Gaadhoo, an agricultural island. The initiative is supported by UNDP Maldives under UNDP Climate Promise Project, generously funded by the Government and People of Japan. This sustainable agricultural infrastructure is a testament to the commitment to environmentally conscious solutions, providing the local community with the tools needed to adapt to climate-related uncertainties. The initiative is led by Agro National Corporation, in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare Special thanks.
