Reimagining our future

Dialogues about Development in Latin America and the Caribbean

Reimagining our Future in Latin America and the Caribbean, is a series of dialogues that will take place this year.

UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean launched the Human Development Report in 2025 and it is currently working in the Democracy and Development Report. These independent yet complementary publications explore the ‘pressure points’ impacting our democracies and development trajectories, such as rapid technological change, social fragmentation, and climate challenges.

These Dialogues about Development will take place on a monthly basis with the aim of bringing together global events and local perspectives engaging experts, decision-makers, and UNDP partners, in collaborative, evidence-based debates. In this way, we expect to uncover the ‘escape valves’ or solutions that will allow the tensions that are building up across the region to be released and transformed into social progress and coexistence.

These conversations are designed to inspire collaborative action, ensuring that our shared vision on democracy and development translates into improved lives, empowered citizens and more resilient nations.

As we mark 60 years of UNDP work advancing human development, we invite you to join us in this journey.
