In a context marked by economic volatility, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological and social change, multilateral forums are more necessary than ever to advance a global agenda of shared prosperity and sustainable development.

In this regional dialogue, co-organized by UNDP-LAC and ECLAC, we will reflect on the contributions of Latin America and the Caribbean to the Second World Summit for Social Development (II WSSD), to be held in Doha in November 2025, thirty years after the first in Copenhagen.

The conversation is part of a broader regional process — including the Ministerial Forum in Barbados, the Regional Conference on Social Development, and the Regional Seminar on Social Development — and will serve to consolidate a shared vision on how to translate commitments into concrete results.
