◆目的と背景
 2025年は、国連が掲げるSDGs達成目標である2030年まで、残りわずか5年となります。大阪・関西万博2025では、35の国連機関が集い、SDGsの達成に向けた取り組みを来場者に紹介し、持続可能な未来に向けた連携を促進します。その一環として、本展示は、アフリカ各国首脳が来日する国際会議「TICAD9」とも連携し、共に未来を築くという理念のもと実施されます。

UNパビリオンで展開される「アフリカウィーク(詳細はこちら)」の展示プログラムでは、アフリカ文化への理解と国際交流を通じて、次世代が “共に”未来を創る意識を育むことを目指します。子どもたちがアートやデジタル・テクノロジーを活用し、夢や思いを自由に表現することで、日本とアフリカ、そして世界をつなぐ相互理解を促進します。

◆展示内容

映像：
UNパビリオン内スクリーンでUNDPによる全国学校訪問授業のドキュメンタリー映像に加えて日本とアフリカの小学生が作成した未来への絵手紙を紡ぐデジタルアートを展示します。

デジタル：
デジタルワークショップでは、来場者を撮影し、「私たちの夢」や「私がアフリカでやってみたいこと」といった質問に基づくキーワードを入力します。生成AIがそのキーワードに紐づき、アフリカン・プリントをセルフィーに合成し、オリジナルアートをその場で生成します。

体験：
アフリカ各地の布を用意し、実際に手に取り試着できる文化体験コーナーを設置します。「AFRI CONVERSE（詳細はこちら）」と連動し、アフリカ布が文化的対話の媒体となることを体感できます。

◆ボランティア募集要項
活動内容：
UNDPやアフリカにまつわる展示説明、来場者の案内、アフリカ布体験のサポート、
機材搬入・設置補助

応募条件：
・大阪在住のアフリカ国籍を有する方
・基本的な日本語コミュニケーション能力を有する方
・アフリカ布やプリントに関する知識・関心がある方
・2025年8月17日〜24日の全期間参加可能な方

 

参加日時：
1日6時間（2シフト制：9:00〜15:00 または 15:00〜21:00）

待遇：
自宅から会場までの往復交通費と勤務中の食事の支給

◆ Objective & Background

2025 marks just five years remaining until the United Nations’ target year of 2030 for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At Expo 2025 Osaka–Kansai, 35 UN agencies will come together to showcase initiatives that advance the SDGs and promote collaboration toward a more sustainable future.

As part of this effort, the “Africa Week” exhibition will be held in alignment with TICAD9, an international conference that brings African leaders to Japan. The exhibition reflects a shared vision of co-creating a better future.

Taking place at the UN Pavilion, “Africa Week” aims to deepen the understanding of African culture and promote international exchange. Through art, digital technology, and interactive experiences, the exhibition will inspire the next generation—especially youth and children—to dream together and collaborate in shaping a shared, sustainable future.

◆ Exhibition Highlights

Video Installations ：
UNDP’s documentary on their nationwide school outreach programs, alongside digital artworks made from 'future-themed picture postcards' by Japanese and African elementary students, will be shown on screens at the UN Pavilion.

Digital Experience ：
Visitors have them photographed, then enter keywords like “Our Dreams” or “What I’d Like to Do in Africa.” An AI overlays African prints onto the photo, creating unique digital art instantly.

Cultural Experience：
Visitors can touch and try on authentic African textiles from various countries in a dedicated hands-on corner. This interactive display is part of the AFRI CONVERSE 2025 #2 initiative, which highlights how African texitiles serve as a medium for cultural dialogue.

◆ Volunteer Recruitment Details ◆

Activities (Responsibilities):
・Providing explanations related to Africa-themed exhibits
・Guiding and assisting visitors
・Supporting the African textile cultural-experience corner
・Assisting with equipment delivery and setup

Eligibility Requirements:
・Must be an African national residing in Osaka
・Basic Japanese communication skills
・Knowledge of or interest in African textiles and prints
・Availability for the entire period: August 17–24, 2025

Working Hours (per day): 
6 hours, in two shifts (9:00 – 15:00 or 15:00 – 21:00)

Benefits：
Transportation expenses for commuting from your home to the venue and a meal
