UNDP and the Government of Denmark Announce Participants Selection Competition
Green Leadership Programme Expansion – Call for New Participants
February 16, 2026
Contest for Green Leadership Programme 2
UNDP, under the regional project “Greening the Future, Advancing Rights and Stability” funded by the Government of Denmark, invites civil society organisations (CSOs), community-based organisations (CBOs), and local initiative groups to apply for a new cohort of the capacity-building initiative – the Green Leadership Programme.
What We Aim to Achieve
The initiative aims to engage new members in the Green Leadership Programme, strengthen the knowledge of CSOs, CBOs, and local initiative groups on green transition issues, and provide technical support for implementing green initiatives in the Poti and Khobi municipalities.
Under the Programme, participants will receive:
- Training on key green transition topics
- A specialised Training-of-Trainers (ToT) programme on working with diverse groups
- Workshops with network members to plan joint activities
- Support for implementing local green initiatives
Upon successful completion of the Programme, participants will join the Green Leadership Programme alumni network, where they will continue to benefit from collaboration, learning, and consultation opportunities.
Who Can Apply?
- Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) that are not currently network members, operating in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region and interested in green transition issues.
- Additional representatives from organisations selected in 2025 who wish to expand their engagement in the programme.
- Local initiative groups from the Samegrelo region, particularly from Poti and/or Khobi municipalities, who wish to improve their knowledge on green and digital transition and implement green projects.
