Are you 16 to 28 years old and living in Khobi or Poti?
Do you have a passion for technology and a desire to harness digital tools to create positive change in your community?
The UNDP Digital Ambassadors Programme invites you to join a unique initiative designed to build your digital skills and empower you to support others in navigating the digital world.
This is your opportunity to become a Digital Ambassador — a young leader who helps bridge the digital divide and promotes digital inclusion in Khobi and Poti.

About the Initiative

UNDP is implementing the Digital Ambassadors Programme under the 'Greening the Future: Advancing Rights and Stability' project funded by the Government of Denmark.

The initiative aims to:

  • Strengthen the digital competencies of young people
  • Engage them as community multipliers, empowering others to access and benefit from digital platforms, e-services, and innovative technologies in both daily life and civic participation.

Through this programme, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to become a champion of digital inclusion, civic engagement, and environmental awareness in your community.

What the Programme Offers

As a selected Digital Ambassador, you will:

  • Participate in interactive training and workshops: Gain hands-on skills in using digital platforms, accessing e-services, exploring innovative applications, and leveraging modern digital tools to drive community engagement.
  • Apply your skills through community action: Mentor, advise, or lead activities that help others in your community — including youth, parents, entrepreneurs, farmers, women, the elderly and vulnerable groups — enhance their digital literacy, access services, and contribute to environmental data collection and civic participation.
  • Engage in real projects: Citizen science activities that collect and monitor environmental and community data, using and promoting the community-led online portal to upload green data and showcase local action, facilitate citizen feedback mechanisms and involve peers in civic tech for green and digital transformation.
  • Access exclusive opportunities based on your performance: Top-performing Digital Ambassadors will be eligible for exclusive opportunities based on engagement, innovation, and results achieved through community action and portal-based activities.

Our Shared Goal

Together, through your leadership as a Digital Ambassador, we aim to:

  • Raise awareness of digital literacy, e-services, and innovative technologies
  • Increase the use of digital tools and citizen feedback platforms across Khobi and Poti
  • Advance community-led environmental monitoring and digital engagement
  • Support groups with limited digital access and skills in Khobi and Poti

Your Performance will be Assessed Across Four Criteria

  1. Community outreach — number and diversity of people supported
  2. Initiative and creativity — how digital tools are applied to solve community needs
  3. The level of contribution — contribution to the citizen science platform and feedback mechanisms
  4. Collaboration and leadership — engagement in team-based and inter-community initiatives

Based on this, Digital Ambassadors will receive:

  • Vouchers to cover an online course or a premium account on a digital platform of your choice, or a paid 3-month internship with a leading Georgian organisation working in the digital/IT sector, offering practical experience and career development.

Throughout and beyond the programme, you will also have opportunities to engage in local digital and civic initiatives implemented by the project until 2027.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek highly motivated young people:

  • Aged 16 to 28 and reside in Khobi or Poti
  • Eager to strengthen their digital skills and contribute as changemakers in their communities
  • Excited to promote citizen-led environmental monitoring, data sharing, and civic engagement through digital tools.
  • Have prior experience or a strong interest in digital topics, such as e-services, apps, digital literacy, artificial intelligence, communication technologies, etc.
  • Have ideas on how to support others — whether students, entrepreneurs, farmers, parents, women, the elderly or vulnerable groups — in adopting and using digital solutions.
