The European Union and UNDP invite civil society organizations to take part in a grant contest

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with funds from the European Union (EU) in Georgia, is announcing a grant competition for Civil Society Organizations (CSO) to promote participatory and people-centered municipal service delivery under the joint initiative "EU4ITD: Advancing Decentralized, Effective and Inclusive Governance in Georgia".

What we aim to achieve

The objective of the grant competition is to support CSOs in partnership with local authorities to foster citizen engagement in local planning, service design, implementation and evaluation to improve the delivery of municipal services in the municipalities located in Kakheti, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, and Guria regions.

Who can participate

Eligible applicants shall meet the following criteria:

  • Be a non-profit organization registered in Georgia in accordance with the legal requirements of Georgia and provide the organisation’s registration certificate and statute. 
  • Have operating experience in the target region/municipality. 
  • Have operating experience of a minimum two years.
  • Have experience of managing at least two similar projects during the last four years. 
  • Have formed a partnership with the local government.
The deadline for submission is 12 April 2024.

An information meeting with interested applicants to present detailed information about the preparation of proposals for submission will be held on 29 March 2024 at 12:00PM via online platform Zoom at: https://undp.zoom.us/j/83974977977 (Meeting ID: 839 7497 7977).
