The Low Emission Development Strategy (LEDs) 2021 for Transport has been formulated in support of Bhutan's pledge at the 15th Session of the Conference of Parties to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) in 2009 to remain carbon neutral for all times. It is a 30-year strategy document aimed at reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emission from the transport sector and to contribute to the Paris Agreement through eight targeted interventions spread across 22 thematic areas.
