Six Years of Sustainable Development, Grassroots Innovation, Community Impact and Future Momentum.

2025 marked the culmination of the UNDP Accelerator Lab’s journey in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, as the global network sunset after six years of pioneering innovation and accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since its inception in 2019, the Lab has served as a testing bed for innovative grassroots solutions, embedding experimentation into development practice and amplifying local voices across Small Island Developing States. 

The UNDP Accelerator Lab for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean spearheaded a dynamic portfolio of innovative initiatives aimed at fostering resilience, sustainability, and digital transformation across the region. This report highlights key activities in the final year and a summary of achievements from 2019 - 2025.
