Legal Framework

The documents on this page provide the framework for UNDP’s work in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. They outline the foundation for how UNDP works with partners across Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean to support inclusive, resilient and sustainable development.

Country and territory agreements establish the formal basis for UNDP’s cooperation with the countries and territories served by the Multi-Country Office for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. For Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Montserrat, cooperation is covered under the 1960 Special Fund Agreement with the United Kingdom.

Programme documents guide UNDP’s wider programme approach in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean and connect country-level cooperation with broader regional priorities.
