The European Union (EU) and UNDP organised a 5-day intensive business development training programme for some social entrepreneurs and the civil society organisations (CSOs) interested in starting up a social business in Azerbaijan.

The training was organized within the framework of the "Financing of the development" project, implemented with the joint support of the UNDP and the National Coordination Council for Sustainable Development.

What we do

In Azerbaijan, UNDP brings the best development models of the world in order to maximize the use of “black gold” derived from the oil wealth, to strengthen its “human gold”, to enlarge people’s choices and reduce inequalities.

UNDP’s work focuses on poverty reduction, good governance and peace-building, climate change and disaster management, as well as economic development. UNDP provides support to governments to integrate the SDGs into their national development plans and policies.

‘Social Enterprise Policy – a Global Landscape’ webinar was held as part of the EU-funded ‘Developing innovation-driven and sustainable civil society in Azerbaijan’ project. The webinar intended to kick-off a policy dialogue aimed at advancing social enterprise ecosystem in Azerbaijan.
