Tashkent, 5 March 2025 – Uzbekistan is taking decisive steps toward enhancing its climate commitments with the presentation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) 2.0 Stocktake and the Roadmap for NDC 3.0 development. A coordination workshop convenes key national and international stakeholders to discuss progress and ensure a wellcoordinated approach to formulating Uzbekistan’s next climate goals.
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) assists the government of Uzbekistan on every step of this way and co-hosts with the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan the event that highlights the key findings of Uzbekistan’s NDC 2.0 Stocktake, based on which a roadmap to NDC3.0 has been formulated, and the national approach to developing NDC 3.0 in line with UNFCCC guidelines.

"I would like to emphasize that the preparation of NDC 3.0 is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders. National ministries and agencies play a decisive role in shaping realistic and ambitious climate goals that will take into account the priorities of the country’s socioeconomic development," said Farrukh Sattarov, Director of the National Center for Climate Change.
