November 18, 2025
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in cooperation with the National Agency for Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP), Gross Insurance, Kafil Sug‘urta and TBC Insurance, conducted a training for students at leading economics universities in Tashkent on the topic “Career in Insurance”.
The main goal of the training was to inspire and prepare students from different universities across the country to understand career paths in the insurance industry by combining theoretical knowledge with practical exercises and direct interaction with industry experts. Professional experts from insurance companies shared their practical experience and showcased to students the potential opportunities for career growth in the insurance sector.
Over the course of two days, students had the opportunity to interact with top managers from insurance companies, give presentations, share their own experience of building a career in the industry, and explore the potential and opportunities for career development in the insurance field. It is important to note that, based on pre- and post-training testing, participants’ knowledge in the field of insurance increased by 25 per cent.
Given the growing importance of the insurance sector in Uzbekistan, the training has strong potential to raise young people’s awareness of career opportunities, develop the necessary skills, and attract a new generation of professionals to the industry.

As a result of the training, participants provided positive feedback, highlighting the relevance of the training topic, the usefulness of the knowledge gained reinforced with examples from international practice, and the engaging and interactive format of the sessions. Test results confirmed that participants’ knowledge in the field of insurance increased by 25 per cent following the training.
