Ashgabat, 9 June 2020: Certificate awarding ceremony to the “Digital Management” piloting master’s programme graduates took place in the Civil Service Academy of Turkmenistan under the President of Turkmenistan (CSA). Current event was held in the frameworks of the joint project “Support to the Civil Service Academy under the President of Turkmenistan” 2017-2020.

The main goal of the pilot master's course in Digital Management is to increase the capacity, knowledge and skills of leading ICT specialists of a number of ministries and departments in the field of training and decision-making using elements of innovative management and digitalization, as well as mastering modern information technologies to increase the efficiency of government and organizations in digital transformation.

In his speech, Mr. Alym Annamuradov, CSA rector, noted that development of the digital economy and the ongoing institutional changes in this area require consistent practical skills increase of civil servants and representatives of business structures.

“Digital Management” master’s programme was successfully developed and piloted in a short-term educational course with participation of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus specialists and active UNDP assistance.

Ms. Natia Natsvlishvili, UNDP Resident Representative a.i. drew attention to the advantages of digital technologies in the Sustainable Development Goals implementation, integrated into all state programmes and social policies of Turkmenistan.

In this regard, UNDP, in the frameworks of joint projects with key national partners, will continue to provide technical support to Turkmenistan in the training of highly qualified specialists, including in the field of digital economy and management.
