Zhanara isn’t waiting for change — she is creating it. She actively participates in environmental initiatives, develops climate-focused startups, and shares her knowledge with others. Her dream is to see her hometown, Naryn, become green, clean, and climate-resilient by 2030.
As part of the national consultations on the updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zhanara contributed as a representative of an aware, active, and engaged generation of climate leaders.
The NDC 3.0 update, coordinated by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic with the technical leadership of UNDP under the Climate Promise initiative, reflects strong national ownership and a firm commitment to the principle of “leaving no one behind.”
This national strategy is being shaped with the active participation of young changemakers like Zhanara — those already acting today for a better tomorrow.
