The launch ceremony of the Youth Innovation Hub took place on June 26, 2025, at the Zangiota Agrotechnological TVET. The hub is being established on the eve of Youth Day (June 30), which emphasizes the important role of Uzbekistan's youth in building a sustainable and climate-resilient future.
The Youth Innovation Hub has been established within the framework of EU-funded joint project of UNDP and the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Supporting an inclusive transition to a “green” economy in the Agri-food sector and development of a “climate-smart” Uzbek Agriculture Knowledge and Innovation System (EU-AGRIN).
As part of this project, the section of the college building allocated for the Youth Innovation Hub has been fully renovated. It has been equipped with the latest computers, technical equipment, furniture, and high-tech laboratory tools designed to support hands-on training for students. This environment enables young people to gain practical education, conduct scientific research, and bring their innovative ideas to life.
The hub provides young people with a modern environment and an inspiring atmosphere, guiding them toward gaining practical experience in the following areas:
Innovative and climate-resilient agricultural technologies
Agro-technologies and digital solutions
Sustainable veterinary practices
Agri-business and youth entrepreneurship

At UNDP, we believe in the power of young people to shape the future through climate-smart innovations, digital technologies, and agricultural research—and we remain committed to supporting them every step of the way,”noted Ms. Akiko Fujii, the UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan.

The European Union is pleased to have supported its establishment and encourages the search for sustainable funding to ensure the continuation of innovative activities"highlighted Mr. Roberto Aparicio, Programme Manager in Agriculture, Delegation of the EU to Uzbekistan.
It is noteworthy that the participants of this hub will have the opportunity to cooperate with members of 18 innovation groups established in Tashkent, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions within the framework of the EU-AGRIN project, as well as to participate in important processes in their activities. This will create an opportunity for young people to practice, exchange experiences and expand innovative interregional cooperation.
