Sustainable Heating Policy Briefing

This policy briefing presents a coordinated roadmap and analytical foundation for developing a sustainable heating supply system aligned with Mongolia’s Vision 2050 Long-Term Development Policy, the Ulaanbaatar 2040 Development Master Plan, and the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution 3.0. Projected planning estimates align with the Sustainable Heating Scenario of the SDG 7 roadmap for Mongolia. The document aims to guide national and municipal policymakers in implementing clean, affordable, climate resilient, and socially inclusive heating solutions targeting Ulaanbaatar’s ger areas by 2030 and nationwide deployment by 2050.
