Participatory Neighborhood Improvement Plan in Taamir Saida

July 12, 2023

This report presents the Participatory Neighborhood Improvement Plan facilitated by UNDP in 2022 in Taamir, one of the Adjacent Areas to Ein El Helwe Palestinian Camp that falls within the municipal boundaries of Saida, South Lebanon. The Taamir Gathering is home to a diverse population estimated at 3,300 mainly Lebanese and Palestinian dwellers. The Improvement Plan aims at developing a blueprint to inform organizations’ interventions aiming to improve living conditions of dwellers living in Taamir, as prioritized by the local communities. It presents a spatial mapping of Taamir and a socio-economic analysis based on results of the 2022 UNDP household survey in Palestinian Gatherings - both used to recommend development interventions in Taamir.
