UNDP recognized the contribution of exporters and support for sustainable trade development in Kyrgyzstan

UNDP Aid for Trade project team was awarded a special statuette for "Best Exporter - 2025" for its contribution to supporting export-oriented businesses and developing sustainable value chains.
Bishkek, 24 December 2025 – The capital of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted the national competition "Best Exporter of the Kyrgyz Republic - 2025," organized by the Kyrgyz Export Center under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event brought together about 200 representatives of government agencies, the business community, international organizations, and financial institutions and became a key platform for recognizing companies that make a significant contribution to the development of the country's export potential.
The competition was held as part of the National Export Development Programme for 2025-2028 and aims to stimulate non-commodity exports, support regional producers, develop exports of services, and promote high value-added products, including organic products, IT services, and initiatives by women entrepreneurs.
The United Nations Development Programme in Kyrgyzstan was a partner in the event. As part of the competition, three companies benefiting from the UNDP Aid for Trade project were awarded the Best Exporter 2025 prize in various categories, confirming the effectiveness of comprehensive support for export-oriented micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises:
Dary Tien Shan LLC - 1st place in the category "Best Exporter among Small and Medium-sized Businesses" (Natural Honey Value Chain);
GLOBAL AGRO LLC - 2nd place in the category "Best Exporter among Small and Medium-Sized Businesses" (Value Chain of Dried Fruits, Dried Berries, and Nuts);
Sun Planet Organic LLC - 2nd place in the category "Best Exporter Implementing International Standards" (Value Chain for Dried Fruits, Berries, and Nuts).
UNDP will also provide expert support to the two winners in implementing internationally recognized product quality and safety standards - Global G.A.P. / ISO/FSSC 22000, training company specialists, and providing support up to the pre-certification audit stage. This support is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Kyrgyz exporters and expanding their access to international markets.
Speaking at the ceremony, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic Alexandra Solovieva emphasized that exports are not only an economic indicator but also an important factor for sustainable development, job creation, and the country's integration into global value chains. She noted the importance of consistent government policy in the field of exports and the key role of exporters themselves in shaping Kyrgyzstan's international image.
In recognition of UNDP's contribution to the development and promotion of exports, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic presented a certificate to the UNDP Resident Representative / UNDP Office in the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, the UNDP Aid for Trade project team was awarded a special statuette for "Best Exporter - 2025" for its contribution to supporting export-oriented businesses and developing sustainable value chains.
The UNDP Aid for Trade project, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, continues to provide systematic support to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and businesses, contributing to the creation of a favorable export environment, strengthening business support institutions, and expanding opportunities for Kyrgyz companies in international markets.
