Investing in Youth Entrepreneurship Opens Doors to Global Opportunities: The Story of Uni Language Hub

When Eldiyar Dzheenaliev was studying abroad, he quickly realized one simple truth: talent and ambition alone are not enough to gain admission to the world's leading universities. Success requires strong language skills, access to modern learning technologies, and a clear understanding of how international education systems work.

After returning to Kyrgyzstan upon completing his master's degree in Italy, he set out to change this reality for other young people.

"I saw that many young people dream of studying abroad but lack quality preparation, reliable information, and mentorship. That's why I decided to create a place where they could not only learn foreign languages but also receive comprehensive support throughout the university application process—from IELTS preparation to guidance on choosing universities. Later, we also introduced courses in mobile content creation and social media marketing to help young people acquire digital skills that are increasingly in demand in today's labour market," says Eldiyar.

This vision gave rise to Uni Language Hub—an educational centre that helps young people access international education while equipping them with the modern professional and digital skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving economy.

During its first year, the business relied almost entirely on the founders' own resources. Although demand for its educational services continued to grow, the centre's expansion was constrained by limited investment in modern learning infrastructure.

A new stage of growth began after Eldiyar joined an accelerator programme implemented under a UNDP project funded by the Government of the Russian Federation. Following a competitive selection process, he received catalytic financing of KGS 566,410 (USD 6,476.96), enabling the centre to modernize its facilities and significantly improve the quality of learning.

"Thanks to UNDP's support, we were able to establish a modern interactive classroom equipped with an interactive display, all-in-one computers for our staff, security systems, and other essential equipment. This has significantly improved the quality of education and made learning much more effective," Eldiyar explains.

The investment quickly translated into tangible results. Modernizing the centre strengthened the confidence of parents and partners, enabled the expansion of educational services, and created four new jobs for young teachers. Today, Uni Language Hub continues to grow into a sustainable youth-led enterprise that is strengthening the local education market while creating new opportunities for young people across Kyrgyzstan.

"The most important thing was winning this grant in a highly competitive selection process. It gave us tremendous confidence and motivated us to keep growing and moving forward," Eldiyar says.

Today, more than 250 students are enrolled at Uni Language Hub. On average, students achieve IELTS scores between 6.0 and 7.0, while many graduates have secured scholarships and full funding to study at leading universities across the CIS, China, Europe, Türkiye and Malaysia.

The team has no intention of slowing down.

"Our goal is to make Uni Language Hub one of Kyrgyzstan's leading educational institutions. We plan to open new branches, expand our programmes, and ensure that even more young people, especially those from the regions, can access international opportunities," Eldiyar concludes.

The story of Uni Language Hub demonstrates how investing in youth entrepreneurship contributes to local economic development. By combining business acceleration, entrepreneurship development and catalytic financing, UNDP helps young enterprises scale up, create jobs, strengthen human capital and expand access to global opportunities for young people. This approach contributes to the implementation of the National Development Programme of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030 by strengthening the private sector and fostering a more competitive and resilient economy.

For more than three decades, UNDP has remained a strategic partner of the Kyrgyz Republic in advancing national development priorities. Working closely with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Osh City Hall and local authorities, UNDP supports inclusive economic growth, human capital development and expanded economic opportunities for women and young people.

In 2025 alone, UNDP strengthened the capacities of more than 150 youth organization leaders across 24 cities and supported 48 youth entrepreneurship initiatives, mobilizing investments worth USD 412,000. These investments helped create at least 150 jobs for young people while strengthening local economic resilience under the National Programme for Youth Entrepreneurship Development.

Support for Uni Language Hub was provided through the Public Foundation FSDS under the UNDP project "Enhancing Youth Economic Empowerment and Developing Sustainable Local Youth Entrepreneurship Solutions to Promote Social Cohesion and Resilience," funded by the Government of the Russian Federation. Supported by funding from the Russian Federation, the UNDP project has facilitated the implementation of the Youth Development Concept up to 2030 and advanced national priorities in youth entrepreneurship, investment policy, export potential development, regional growth, and building public trust.
