UNDP and Italian Embassy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government Administration and RIT Kosovo launch Digital Skills for All call for applications

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government Administration and RIT Kosovo, with the financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy, launched a call for applications under the Digital Skills for All (DS4A).   
The initiative which is part of UNDP’s Digital Skills Project leverages the potential of the private sector and enhances the Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills among youth in Kosovo. The project will support up to 180 young women and men aged 18-29 who are looking to upskill and reskill through hands-on courses in DS4A.   
The initiative will support young women and men in developing marketable digital skills through intensive training through six bootcamps: Mobile Application, Web Development, Data Engineering, Networking, Digital Marketing, Digital Design. The ICT bootcamps are intensive and short-term training programs aimed at providing participants with digital skills that prepare them for employment in entry-level tech positions within the private sector.  
Young men and women aspiring to expand their digital expertise, particularly those from non-majority backgrounds, are encouraged to submit their applications before 24 April 2023.

About the UNDP Kosovo Digital Skills Project 

The project builds on the potential of the digital economy to provide job opportunities and contribute to economic growth for improved livelihoods for young people. In particular, the intervention provides opportunities for skills development as a key enabler to enhance employability for both sustainable development and social cohesion through targeting specific population groups. The project aims to bridge the skills gap between the targeted population group and the market needs of digital economy, as a means of creating employment and economic growth while simultaneously enhancing inter-ethnic dialogue and understanding.
