The ‘India, Naturally!’ publication documents the stories of the champions of biodiversity conservation and sustainable use across India, recognised through the India Biodiversity Awards, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the National Biodiversity Authority and UNDP.

The publication presents select outstanding models of biodiversity conservation, its sustainable use, local governance and access and benefit sharing arising from use of biological resources and associated knowledge. The fourth edition of ‘India, Naturally!’ brings to the reader stories of the fifteen awardees of India Biodiversity Awards 2020-21. These models of conservation showcase how various actors in India manage change through innovative approaches and conserve biodiversity.

This publication can be widely used at various platforms across the country to motivate and inspire various stakeholders to take initiative and jointly work towards conservation of India’s unique natural heritage. It is also a tool for conservation education and public awareness as it generates awareness and sensitises people and institutions.
