I look forward to immersing myself in UNDP's work to prevent many of the difficult challenges the world faces today that affect people all over the world.”

The Crown Princess has taken an active role in UNDP’s work and engaged with projects and initiatives worldwide. Even before her appointment as Goodwill Ambassador, the Crown Princess had a longstanding commitment to sustainable global development. Her dedication to environmental and climate-related issues led to her appointment by then UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as one of 17 Advocates for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals during 2016–2019.
