Poverty moonshot

UNDP’s ambition is to help 100 million people escape persistent multidimensional poverty and vulnerabilities by 2025 through systemic change. Since 2022, UNDP has helped 160 million people gain access to essential services for health, education, water and others. We've provided direct support to 132 countries:

Energy moonshot

UNDP aims to bring access to sustainable, affordable and reliable energy to 500 million more people by 2025 and help countries accelerate a just transition to renewable energy. Since 2022, UNDP has provided direct support to 128 countries:

Governance moonshot

UNDP has set a goal to support 800 million registered voters to take part in elections by 2025 – many for the first time. And we’ve already surpassed this ambition. From 2022 to 2024, UNDP helped 816.2 million voters take part in 57 elections across 43 countries. We’ve supported election participation by:

Finance moonshot

UNDP partners with governments and partners in the pubic and private sector to catalyse investment in the Sustainable Development Goals. Our aim is to promote over US$1 trillion of investment in the SDGs by 2025. And we’re well on our way, with public and private finance projected to reach $1.1 trillion by the end of 2025. Since 2022, UNDP’s efforts have resulted in:
